Catco is a catalytic heater company that manufactures instrument gas heaters. For every 100 psi pressure drop experienced, the temperature of the gas will lose 7 degrees Fahrenheit. This phenomenon is magnified in colder regions. In an effort to reduce freezing concerns, Catco’s catalytic heaters generate radiant (infrared) energy which can be directed on a particular object or target. Therefore, energy is not wasted on heating other objects or the air surrounding them.

Catalytic heaters contain no moving parts and, once energized, will function indefinitely as long as adequate supplies of air and clean fuel are provided. These factors make catalytic heaters ideal for remote applications.
